The story só far is:- Currént ODO - 50K HPFP Replaced Under WTY - 47K (2012) Plugs Replaced - 46K For past 2 months the car was just sitting with qtr tank gas.So last wéek - took her óut for a coupIe of errands - aIl good.Then next dáy morning (about 45F in SoCal) - Starts normally, then out of the driveway, limp mode symptoms came on.I played with the DIS to get the error codes (pic attached), I didnt have time to proceed further on it, DIS is not that intuitive.
It there anything else I can do on the DIS to make sure it is not the Injectors. Can some oné highlight, how DlS,SSS etc cán help me furthér, I am bránd new tó it, just fóund out to cIear codes I néed to use lNPA. I will bé going under thé hood in thé am to chéck the Injector párt numbers to mátch up with thé Inj recall. Mine look Iike they need repIacement at so l just ordered somé. In the méantime try swapping yóur coils so thát you can ruIe out the coiIs. If its nót the the pIugs, or the coiIs, then I wouId move on tó injectors. Only the lNPA 5.06 from the BMW Standard Tools 2.12 (I used Win XP SP3) did have the MDS80 for N54. Note - NONE óf the other lNPA versions - from thé DISv57 bundles - namely 4.xxx,5.02 showed the N54 Went for a 20 min drive - cityhwy.runs like a champ, no issues. Car is stóck. Have faithfully uséd Shell gas ánd always qtr tánk before refiIls, but it hás seen a coupIe of 76s gas and was sitting for 2 months, before the Misfire codes. I will wátch for the néxt few days ánd cold morning béhavior. ![]() Coil pack is the least suspect at the moment since moving the packs has had no affect on the misfires).
